Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa is the formal Institute for governance and accounting officers and the expert commentator in Southern Africa on governance. It is the professional qualifying body for Chartered Secretaries offering an international qualification recognised in more than 70 countries. The career-long programme of study comprises a number of standalone qualifications and continuing professional development, each of which renders graduates employable at any stage along the education continuum, and which, when accumulated, can lead to the premier qualification of Chartered Secretary. The Institute is a division of the global Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). ICSA acts as the professional governance body for more than 35 000 members and 27 000 students worldwide.
