Apart from serving as the Institute’s Senior Vice President, Nicky has also been the Company Secretary of E Oppenheimer & Son since 2002.

Vice President Carina Wessels (C.H.) FCIS, LLB, LLM
Carina holds a LLB degree, a Certificate in Advanced Labour Law, a LLM degree, a PMD and is an Admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa. She was previously the Assistant Group Secretary at De Beers and is now employed as Legal Consultant (Company Secretarial) with Investec.

Past President Jill Parratt (J.M.) FCIS
Jill was appointed as President of the Institute in 2009 and is also the current Group Secretary of Liberty Holdings. She was previously the Company Secretary of Pangbourne Properties and Assistant Group Secretary of Unitrans.

Stephen Sadie MBA, M. Ed, B.A. Hons.
Stephen Sadie was appointed CEO of Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa on 1 January 2009. Prior to this he was Director: Strategic Support at the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) where his directorate conducted research on and drew up recommendations for the inclusion of professional bodies into the national qualifications framework. Stephen’s extensive background in education is derived from previous positions held such as Director: Research and School Improvement at the Matthew Goniwe School of Leadership and Governance as well as Chief Education Specialist: Curriculum Delivery and Support in the Johannesburg East district and also the Ekurhuleni West district of the Gauteng Department of Education. Stephen also sits on the King III Committee. |
